Navigating the rollercoaster of trying to get pregnant can be really tough. It can sometimes feel like a lonely journey, but you don’t have to do it all by yourself. From virtual & in-person support groups to financial grants, we’ve collected 10 TTC resources that offer support and guidance for when you need it the most.
RESOLVE (The National Infertility Association)
RESOLVE is a great place for finding support groups, both online and in-person. These groups are led by people who are on similar journeys and understand how hard it can be. RESOLVE brings people together who know what it’s like to struggle with getting pregnant while fighting for better fertility care and advocacy.
Postpartum Support International (PSI)
Postpartum Support International (PSI) offers virtual support groups that are free to join. They host 90 minute, weekly sessions led by trained facilitators that have had real experience with infertility. It’s a wonderful safe space for you to process what you are going through on your TTC journey.
The Nest Egg Foundation
Who knew trying to get pregnant could be so costly? Since fertility treatments are incredibly expensive, this non-profit helps to provide financial grants for medical costs such as IVF. The Nest Egg Foundation is a great resource for those who lack insurance coverage or the personal means to fund their clinical care.
Hope for Fertility
Hope for Fertility is a wonderful foundation to help alleviate the financial burden of TTC by offering medical grants and office resources. Plus, they host great community events like online speaker series and “fitness for fertility” fundraisers.
The Fertility Podcast
The Fertility Podcast is a long-running podcast that features deep-dive interviews with leading reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, and fertility counselors. It strips away the clinical jargon with the goal of helping you understand your fertility journey better. You can listen on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Fertility Friday Podcast
Another podcast on this list, Fertility Friday focuses heavily on body literacy and understanding your natural cycles. It is a fantastic, empowering resource for learning how to chart your fertility markers and advocate for your reproductive health. You can listen on their website to filter by specific topics, or on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Manchester Fertility
If you are looking for clear, reliable guides, Manchester Fertility offers a wealth of expert advice for anyone currently TTC. Their breakdowns of the science and steps behind different treatments are incredibly easy to understand.
Fertility Network UK
If you are based in the UK, Fertility Network UK has a wonderful library of resources surrounding fertility factors, treatments, and how fertility challenges can impact you. They have an archive of all their past webinars (featuring guest speakers that are experts in their fields) on their YouTube channel.
Infertility Unfiltered
Infertility Unfiltered is an educational support group designed specifically for women who are struggling to conceive. It combines real emotional validation with actionable education, helping you regain a sense of control over your journey. They host live zoom classes for guided teaching and group discussions, as well as self-led classes with videos and resources.
Fertility Snail Mail Club
Of course, we have to mention our Fertility Snail Mail Club. Sometimes you just need a little tangible comfort in your mailbox. Inside every envelope, you’ll find a small reminder that you’re not alone, featuring a heartfelt letter, a gentle affirmation, a mindful moment, a nourishing recipe, and a carefully chosen surprise gift.
Bonus Resources
There are many online communities throughout Facebook and Reddit that can offer support as well. R/TryingForBaby on Reddit is a massive form to discuss all things TTC. Facebook in particular has lots of groups you can join to connect with those on journeys similar to yours. Women 40+ Infertility Support Group is a great one for women over 40. IVF Support for Women is another excellent one for those going through IVF. If you search for a specific community, you’re bound to find a Facebook group for it.
At the end of the day, remember that your worth isn’t defined by a test strip or a timeline, and you do not have to go through this alone. Whether you find comfort in a podcast during your morning commute, a virtual support group, or a little piece of happy mail waiting for you at home, there is a whole community cheering you on. Take a deep breath and be sure to lean on these resources whenever you need some support during your TTC journey.
