How to use your Hoopsy test
Simple, midstream testing — just like the plastic test you’re used to, minus the plastic.
Open the pouch
Tear along the notch and remove the test. For the most accurate results, use your first urine of the day.
Test your stream
Hold the end with the Hoopsy logo and place the other end in your urine stream (or dip into a cup) for 6–10 seconds. Don’t wee past the MAX line.
Lay flat & wait
Place on a clean, dry, flat surface with the logo facing up. Read your result in 5–10 minutes — not after 30.
Reading your result: Two pink lines = pregnant. One pink line = not pregnant. No lines, or a single line near the MAX text = invalid, please retest with a new test.

- Hoopsy is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay test that detects hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) — the hormone your body produces shortly after a fertilised egg implants.
- hCG can be detected in urine as early as 7–10 days after conception, roughly doubling every 48–72 hours in early pregnancy.
- Hoopsy detects hCG at a concentration of 25mIU/mL or greater — the same clinical threshold used by leading plastic tests.

Hoopsy is over 99% accurate from the day of your expected period, the same clinical sensitivity (20mIU/mL) as leading plastic pregnancy tests.
Traditional midstream tests are around 90% plastic and can take up to 30 years to break down in landfill. Hoopsy’s paper-based strip and packaging are 99% plastic-free, so most of the test can be recycled or composted.
Open the pouch, hold the test in your urine stream (or dip into a collected sample) for 10 seconds, then lay it flat, logo-side up, for 5–10 minutes before reading your result.
For the most accurate result, test with your first urine of the day, from the day of your expected period. Testing earlier is possible but may be less reliable, since hCG levels are still rising.
Two pink lines mean pregnant. One pink line means not pregnant. No lines, or a faint line only near the MAX text, means the test is invalid and should be repeated with a new test.
